With the Earth paintings, of the Night Studio series, I had a renewed impulse to bring or draw it all together into one thing or paintings.
I went back to the Long Island bay beach, and made a new series of plein air paintings.
I made drawings after them for 6 months and a new group of work. I had a system I followed and just wanted to see what came out.
They are too new to say much else about.
I had a similar relationship to Santa Barbara, CA where I taught for many years and a Lagoon there is where all my early black and white paintings originated I am working on that now which will tie every thing together and Im sure will also illuminate some other surprise on my continued direction .
