I called them Abiquiu landscapes as I just started painting a lot in New Mexico and the profane slid to just plain landscape and a series of them.
I made another painting similar to Fashion Model but a Buddha for Rudy I called it. Rudy Burckhardt who was a friend of the beats one of them himself, Rudy sadly took his own life, but earlier in his struggle he had taken a good picture of a buddha
type pose, himself sitting zaa-zen in the Sierras surrounded by beer bottles. A real sacred and profane type picture.
